I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it. For I shall not pass this way again.

Resume

I am a public relations and Spanish senior at the University of Oklahoma, and I will graduate in May 2008. I have worked at Camp Sweeney, a summer camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes, for the past three summers. Since working at Camp Sweeney, I hope to work for a non-profit organization, specifically Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

I'm incredibly passionate about music, and I would love to write for Rolling Stone or Spin magazine. I do think the non-profit scene is really important and something I care for a lot, so working for Save the Music, or another similar organization would be also be great.

I've taken Spanish since high school, and my fluency has grown tremendously, but I still  have room for improvement. I thought seriously about joining the Peace Corps, but got scared off by the time committment (over 2 years), and my lack of input with my placement region. However, I still want to live abroad and improve my speaking skills, as well as work within the local community.

I enjoy writing feature stories, especially profiles and entertainment pieces. Should my future take me to Central and South America, I can add travel pieces to that list.
